Customize Your Shutters with Craftsman Shutter Frames in Phoenix
It doesn’t happen often, but we’ve heard a Phoenix homeowner or two claim that “all shutters look the same.” Let’s eliminate any misconception – that couldn’t be further from reality.
Many people aren’t aware of the number of options you have when it comes to custom plantation shutters in Phoenix, and the impact those options can have. Possibly chief among those options is the style of shutter frame you pick.
Phoenix Custom Shutter Frames
The options available to you for shutter frames will depend on:
-
How your window opens and closes.
-
The depth of the window sill.
-
Whether you’ll have an outside mount or inside mount.
-
Your own personal taste.
Some of our shutter frames are only available in certain materials, like our Polywood® faux wood shutters, a few are only able to work on an inside or outside mount of a window, and some will be a better match for your existing trim, like our Craftsman frame shutters, perfect for Craftsman style homes and offered exclusively by Sunburst.
Let’s take a look at some of our most popular shutter frames among Phoenix homeowners.
Craftsman Frame Shutters - You can’t turn on an episode of Flip or Flop without seeing Craftsman style. This Sunburst-exclusive frame was built especially for Craftsman style homes and similar designs. A Craftsman frame gives you a clean and simple look, so no part of your home looks gaudy compared to the rest. If utilizing Craftsman fashion is what you want, this is your shutter frame. Currently offered in Polywood and reclaimed wood shutters only.
L-Frame Shutters - An L-frame is probably the least complex and most practical frame we offer. They have a tight, contemporary look, and are usually the easiest to work around if you have a unique window shape. The L-frame can function as either an inside or outside mount, in case you want to keep your existing window trim, and is available in Polywood® faux wood shutters, Ovation® hardwood shutters, reclaimed wood shutters and Studio™ shutters.
Z-Frame Shutters - Z-frames are a widely-chosen style because they give you a stylish, classy look to your window, not unlike crown or bass molding. It gets the name “Z-frame” due to the shape of its exterior, which is mounted on the inside of the window jamb, but hugs the jamb and extends to the outside in a “Z” figure. That extended shape makes it so you don’t even need window trim around the window. Z-frames are available in every single one of our shutters.
Decorative Frame Shutters - A decorative frame is all about style. With extensive texturing and an eye-catching shape, this frame works best for windows without any trim, or if you want to cover your existing trim. Decorative frames are offered in Ovation and Polywood shutters only.
